How to order a cake
Here at Quality Cake Company, we’re here to help make ordering your next celebration cake as easy as possible, which is why we’ve put together this simple guide on how to order a cake from us.
We’ve put together some and advice and tips to help you order a cake for your next celebration. We’ve also got lots of tips and advice on our blog.
If you’re ready to order a cake, then please contact us. You can reach us via webchat, email, phone or social media.
Firstly, it’s always best to check we have availability – we do get booked up quickly and don’t like to let people down.
It’s best to allow 1-2 weeks before your celebration, to ensure we are available (3-4 weeks in the Summer). Sometimes we do have last-minute availability, so it’s always best to give us a call. For novelty-shaped cakes, we suggest booking 6-8 weeks in advance.
However, we can sometimes accommodate last-minute cake from our Signature Cake range.*

It’s always good to have an idea of the size of the cake that you need i.e. the number of portions or people the cake is to serve.
As a guide, an 8″ round cake will serve around 15 people.
If you have a larger celebration, then you might need to consider more than one tier. Also, if you want a large wow-factor cake and you’re worried about wastage, don’t worry as we can always replace one of the cake tiers with a dummy or fake tiers to get the wow factor still.

We have 100’s for inspiration in our cake galleries – this is a great place to start to get some ideas.
Don’t forget these are custom cakes and can be personalised to you/your recipient.
Pick one of our classic flavours – Vanilla, Lemon or Chocolate.
Or why not something a bit different such as mint chocolate, toffee or red velvet.
If you would like to go ahead, we do ask for full payment to book your order. You would need to make payment by one of the following options:
– Over the phone by card: 01827 281 069
– In Store – 28-30 Atherstone Street, Fazeley, Tamworth, B78 3RF
– Bank Transfer (provide an email address).
A cake is not booked in our diary until it has been paid for. We cannot save dates or guarantee we won’t take other orders for your date. Therefore, we advise you to contact us if you’d like to go ahead to arrange payment.
