What are air-filled balloons?

Air-filled balloons are exactly as they sound – balloons filled with air, rather than helium.

So what does this mean?

Put simply, helium balloons float, but air-filled ones don’t. Currently, we are experiencing a global helium shortage, helium is a naturally mined gas, and resources are limited. In recent years the supply continues to dwindle, and availability becomes more sporadic which also increases the price. Therefore, we cannot always guarantee to have helium available and it also means a significant price increase.

However…..

…you can still have balloons for your celebrations! Air-filled balloons are much more versatile, they last a lot longer and consequently work out better value for money!

Air-filled table balloons

A simple alternative to a traditional floating foil balloon is a table display. You can use any foil, latex or bubble balloon for these. They are small enough that you can take them to a restaurant, or have them at home on the table, by the fireplace or next to the cake, making them great for all events.

Balloon columns

In recent years the bubble balloon has risen in popularity. You can fill these bubble balloons with confetti, feathers or other smaller balloons. We call these fireplace displays because they sit perfectly in front of a fireplace. They are large displays which are usually made up of two numbers and a round foil balloon. However, the sky is the limit, you can add more items and extras to turn these into a fantastic display.
