At Quality Cake Company, we believe the inside of your cake should be every bit as memorable as the outside. While we love creating show-stopping designs, we’re just as passionate about making cakes that taste as incredible as they look.

Below, you’ll find our full range of flavours for wedding and celebration cakes. From timeless classics to indulgent favourites, we’ve grouped them to make it easy for you to find your perfect match. Please note, the flavour will affect the price of the cake, as classic, indulgent and luxury flavours use premium ingredients.


Cake Flavours

Signature

  • Vanilla
    • Light vanilla sponge layered with smooth vanilla buttercream and mixed berry jam — simple, classic and loved by everyone.

All of our cakes are quoted as our signature vanilla sponge, unless you request an alternative flavour.

Classic

  • Chocolate
    • Rich chocolate sponge filled with silky chocolate buttercream for a timeless chocolate cake.
  • Lemon
    • Zesty lemon sponge paired with lemon buttercream and lemon curd for a fresh, light flavour.
  • Toffee
    • Soft sponge with a warm toffee flavour, paired with creamy vanilla buttercream.

Indulgent

  • Red Velvet
    • Soft cocoa-kissed red velvet sponge layered with smooth cream cheese buttercream
  • Summer Fruits
    • Light lemon sponge filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream.
  • Raspberry & White Chocolate
    • Vanilla sponge layered with sweet white chocolate buttercream and tangy raspberry jam.

Luxury

  • Carrot
    • Moist spiced carrot cake with walnuts and raisins, paired with classic cream cheese frosting. (contains nuts)
  • Black Forest
    • Rich chocolate sponge layered with cherry filling and vanilla buttercream.
  • Cookies & Cream
    • Vanilla sponge packed with dark chocolate buttercream and crushed cookies.

Free-From

  • *Gluten Free
    • A light sponge made using gluten-free ingredients while keeping the same great flavour. Available in Chocolate or classic Vanilla
  • *Dairy Free
    • Soft sponge made without dairy, finished with smooth dairy-free filling cream. Available in vanilla, chocolate or Toffee
  • *Vegan
    • Plant-based sponge made without eggs or dairy, with a delicious vegan filling cream. Availabile in classic vanilla with mixed berry jam.

    • Classic vanilla sponge, with a piped vanilla buttercream swirl
  • Chocolate
    • Rich chocolate sponge piped with silky chocolate buttercream.
  • Red Velvet
    • Soft cocoa-kissed red velvet sponge layered with smooth cream cheese buttercream.

Luxe/Cored/Speciality Cupcake Flavours

Luxe cupcakes are cored and filled with a delicious filling, making them extra tasty. They are all finished with a buttercream swirl

  • Jammy Vanilla
    • Classic vanilla sponge, filled with mixed berry jam, piped with vanilla buttercream swirl
  • Chocolate Caramel
    • Rich chocolate sponge, filled with caramel sauce, piped with chocolate buttercream.
  • Lemon
    • Classic vanilla cupcake, filled with lemon curd, piped with lemon buttercream.
  • Toffee
    • Classic vanilla cupcake, filled with caramel sauce and piped with creamy vanilla buttercream.
  • Vegan Vanilla
    • Vegan vanilla cupcake, piped with vegan filling-cream
  • Gluten Free Vanilla
    • Classic vanilla sponge baked with gluten-free flour, piped with vanilla buttercream swirl

Please note: Luxe, cored, and Dietary-friendly cupcakes require a minimum order quantity of 12.


Speciality Flavours

  • Fruit Cake
    • Traditional rich fruit cake packed with dried fruits soaked in sherry, paired with warming spices. decorated with marzipan and sugarpaste.
  • Bespoke Mix & Match
    • We can custom make cakes from a variety of ingredients. For more details please see below.
  • Coloured Sponge
    • Classic vanilla sponge baked in vibrant colours — perfect for themed or reveal cakes.

Additional Flavour Options

We are happy to offer certain additional flavour combinations using our trusted ingredients. For example, you may choose a vanilla sponge cake with chocolate buttercream, or request alternatives such as strawberry-only jam.

If you prefer, the jam filling can also be omitted so the cake is filled with buttercream only.

We can sometimes create bespoke flavours such as Hazelnut Truffle or Champagne & Strawberry, subject to staff availability. If you would like to discuss a custom flavour combination, please feel free to contact us for further details.

Cake Flavour Information

All cakes (except fruit cake) contain buttercream or a dairy-free equivalent; we cannot make cakes without this.

Fruit Cake

Generally, we do not offer fruit cakes for wedding cakes. Fruit cake is baked as a large single layer of cake, which is covered in marzipan and sugarpaste icing. Whereas sponge cake has layers of cake with buttercream in between. This means fruit cake is much shorter in height and will be a completely different size compared to the other tiers.

If you want fruit as part of your wedding cake, we advise having the whole cake as fruit cake, or alternatively, we can offer it as a separate cutting cake.


Dietary / Allergen-friendly cake flavours

*PLEASE NOTE: Whilst we can make your cake using specific Allergen / Gluten / Dairy-free ingredients such as soya butter and gluten-freeflour – due to the strict legislation regarding allergens (December 2014) – requiring a separate bakery for allergen / gluten / dairy-free produce – we are unable to guarantee that our cakes can be made 100% Allergen / Gluten / Dairy free – due to the risk of cross-contamination in the bakery.

All products are produced in an environment that handles:  GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOYA, SULPHATES, NUTS, PEANUTS
