Quilted Wedding Cakes

Textures are an increasingly popular feature of modern wedding cakes. Quilted wedding cake tiers add a soft luxurious feel and visually pleasing element to your wedding cake.

Quilting is a texture created with fondant sugarpaste icing. A gridlike tool is used to create evenly spaced tesselated diamonds. In-between each diamond we add a sugar pearl or dragee. This effect makes the cake look as though it is a quilted cushion.

Timeless

This is a beautiful effect that suits cakes in all colours. You can choose to add touches of colour to the sugar pearls used in the centre of the quilting joins or have the whole tier in a colour of your choice. Or opt for a metallic finish to catch the light.
